The current winter season is really tough. Wonderful conditions in the mountains and in the valley, extremely frosty temperatures and ideal snow conditions currently give the Gastein Valley a very special charm. Away from the busy slopes, it is pleasantly relaxed and easy going. Quiet enjoyment of nature and wonderful relaxation in the fresh air – that and much more promises snowshoeing and winter hiking on the Fulseck.
Panorama winter hiking trail at the summit
Such a trip to the summit sounds pretty exhausting, but don’t worry, winter hiking on the Fulseck is actually a very pleasant, relaxed way to explore the Gastein high plateau. With the summit lift you can easily reach the starting point of the tour. Endless white, fresh powder snow and impressive views await you at the top. The clear, wide view of an almost magical landscape of snow and ice, accompanied by the majestic play of light from the reflected sun, stimulates the imagination and invites you to dream.
Snowshoeing on the Fulseck
Winter hiking in Dorfgastein means refreshing cosiness, and yet some spots remain unreached. That changes as soon as you strap on your snowshoes. With these special pads on your feet, you can reach even more remote places with relative ease. At the Fulseck you can look forward to a snowshoe hiking trail that leads over the Arltörl to the middle station of the summit lift, accompanied by a wonderful panorama. Our tip: Explore the summit region under professional guidance and find out more about the Fulseck on the weekly guided snowshoe hike run by the Gastein Tourist Board!
