The Stubnerkogel is part of one of the most beautiful ski areas in the Gastein Valley. Together with the Schlossalm and the Angertal, you can go on fantastic, family-friendly ski slopes up to 2,300 m above sea level. Magnificent panoramic views are of course included in these climes. The Stubnerkogel is a panoramic mountain, and for good reason. Three fascinating viewing platforms and routes offer a clear view of the wide valley in all its quiet, wintry splendor – you have to experience it!
Alpine suspension bridge in Bad Gastein
Do you have a head for heights? Then you should definitely tackle Europe’s highest suspension bridge! At an altitude of 2,300 m, you dare to venture a breathtaking 140 m from the terrace of the mountain restaurant to the transmitter system. Those who are not afraid of heights will be enchanted by the magnificent view of the snow-capped mountains.
Glocknerblick viewing platform
The suspension bridge takes you to this special viewing platform on the Stubnerkogel. The name says it all, because from here you have a perfect view of the Großglockner, the highest mountain in the country. You can even stare straight into the abyss through the transparent mesh made of wire mesh. Cold and warm showers run down your spine!
The rock path
Also accessible in summer, the approx. 100 m long rock path leads, as the name suggests, over exposed rock to another wonderful viewing platform over Gastein, accessible via a short suspension bridge. You can only reach the platform in ideal snow conditions – it is best to ask the Gasteiner Bergbahnen in advance.
Let yourself be seduced by the magnificent panorama of the Gastein Valley and take a walk on the panoramic mountain Stubnerkogel with its platforms and suspension bridges at lofty heights.
